So gorgeous! Was it cold at night? Were you in a tent?

It wasn't too bad-- it was in the low 40's at night (5 Celcius), and in the mid 70's during the day (22 Celcius).

And tent camping is the ONLY way to go, baby! :) I'm not so sure I like air mattresses, though. May have to switch to cots, eventually.

Ummm...I'll be red or purple jello thanks. :)

Loved these images. Especially that next to last one. Made me feel like I was in a cave. Cool! That would be fun to camp under!

Thank you for visiting my place. Since I wrote that post about gas prices they've dropped another 20 to 25 cents. Hope those prices reach your area soonest.

Peace! Hope! & Joy!

Gee, I wish I could visit there today! Looks like a lovely place to just chill out and be alone with your thoughts, and with God.

Wonderful! We were there a year before older son was born, and I'd love to go back and camp there again. I can't do air mattresses, though. I always end up sliding off of them.

Arches! Arches! It's beautiful there. Isn't Utah wonderful?

Arch de triomphe!

Lee, gas prices still stink here. I think we're the highest priced gas in the nation, behind Alaska and Hawaii. Yuck.

And that "cave" photo? That's Navajo Arch. Many people don't bother to go see that one (it's off the main Double-O Arch trail). It's one of my favorites.

Yes, Suldog, the peace and serenity of the area threatens to overwhelm you. :) One of my favorite arches, which I forgot to upload a photo, is out in the remote area of Klondike Bluffs. It's Tower Arch, and you tend to be one of the very few people out there (and generally the only ones) when you go out to see it.

To sit under the arch in the shade, listening to the wind gently blow, and hearing silence... ahhhh. :) A small piece of heaven on Earth!

mlight, the problem I have with air mattresses is that Ron and I end up sinking into the middle together. While the snuggling aspect isn't too bad, it makes it difficult to move into a new position when my back starts hurting.

I hate to start using cots, though...they take up so much darn room when you pack.

steenky bee, this is why I stick around Utah! :) It's great for outdoor freaks like me. Not so great for diversity, though.

And David? You gotta get over to Arches sometime so you can post wonderful photos on your blog. :)

Wow. That is the most lovely "greenless" park I've ever seen. Lucky you for going. Lucky us for seeing.
Congrats on Post of the Day mention!
